I almost thought the priorities of the world (and cable programing) were changing for the better. I saw this ad on the New York Times website and instinctively clicked to see which opera was going to be broadcast on HBO.
Yeah… no. Other guy.
Yes, but even the POSSIBILITY of a contemporary opera being broadcast on HBO says something–about American contemporary classical music in general and this extraordinary and relavtively well-known composer in particular.
